FounderKelly has a background in Information technology from the multimedia university and has years of experience In the corporate world including Safaricom, Access Kenya, Resolution insurance at various capacities. She is also a business woman in branding and a philanthropist .She has a heart of helping teenagers and is on record with various projects she’s worked on including feeding programs for Chuka town street kids and children home visits. She founded Enlightened Generation out of the passion she has for girls and also out of her own experience of being a single mom at a young age and its challenges
Sheila Makena
Board MemberSheila Makena Miriti, Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and IT (Maseno University), Masters Degree in Development Studies (Erasmus University, The Netherlands). She is a development studies graduate with over 6 years’ field experience in project management within the result-oriented development sector. Passionate about SRHR research, child rights governance, youth development, gender mainstreaming, social justice, social policy influencing, and poverty. Successful history in building relationships with local, national and international donors in the SRHR field.
Oscar Kinoti
Board MemberOscar Kinoti, a managing partner at Afriq Stone, is an entrepreneur in the construction and mining sector. He did his Bachelor’s degree in Egerton University, Nakuru. He worked closely with the community in his stint as the Local Committee President of AIESEC Egerton initiating three major projects in HIV/AIDS, environmental conservation and IT to support the community in Rift Valley which attracted volunteers across the globe. He has worked in Turkey for One and half years as a Marketing Assistant Executive focusing on international marketing.
Jacinta Mutegi
Board memberMs. Mutegi currently serves as the National Executive Secretary for the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB). In this role she leads the coordination of the Catholic Church health network and services in Kenya, overseeing strategic partnerships, representation, lobbying and advocacy, network coordination and capacity building of health services. The Catholic Church Health Network is the second largest in Kenya after the government. Jacinta Mutegi has also served as the Health Systems Strengthening Manager for KCCB. Previous to her roles at KCCB, Mutegi worked as the Clinical Trials Site Coordinator at the KEMRI Welcome Trust Research Programme, as well as the holding Population Health and Environment positions at World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and International Centre for Reproductive Health (ICRH). Ms. Mutegi is involved in other governance roles as a Board Member of the National AIDS Control Council (NACC), member Board of Directors of Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) and is a member of the boards of management for Chiakariga Girls High School in Tharaka Nithi County and St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Nyandarua County. Jacinta has extensive global health experience and holds an Executive Masters in Organizational Development from the United States International University, as well as a Master of Arts in Project Planning and Management from University of Nairobi, and Bachelor of Environment Degree from Kenyatta University in Environmental Studies.
